A reader sent to me a brochure about a disability income insurance called PaySecure. It shows an example for a person aged 30 insuring for $3,000 a month payable on disability (excluding the first 90 day) until age 55. The monthly premium is about 1% of the insured sum, i.e. about $30. The premium rate is not guaranteed and may be adjusted based on future experience.

The features of this plan looks quite satisfactory, but it is better for the consumer to get a benefit illustration of this plan specific to your age and personal circumstances. You can send the benefit illustration to me.

The consumer should also ask the insurance company to provide the loss ratio (i.e. the ratio of claims paid to the premiums received). If the loss ratio is 60% to 70%, the insurance is fairly priced. This method is explained in my book, Practical Guide on Financial Planning. If the insurance company refuses to provide this information, you should not buy the product as you may be unfairly charged.

Love Never Dies finally made its debut, and a finale is set for one of the most beautifully bittersweet musicals ever.

Despite scheduled for a later date, it had opened tonight in London West end, and the album is out, which I heard was yesterday.

What awesome birthday present (ahem, I still did receive a present from an old friend, whom I forgot to prepare a birthday gift for, since a fellow Piscean, *utterly embarrassed* so I don’t care it is over!). *BEAMS*

I don’t really care what the critiques said! *Twiddles thumb* If only I have a ticket to it. From what I have seen and read so far, the costumes are amazingly vibrant, and just a burst of pretty colours, definitely more rah-rah than its predecessor.

Now, can’t wait for Chicago to open locally, and when the Lion King takes stage at Marina Bay Sands.

On a side note, it could have been quite a fabulous Wednesday.

But I know I am just knackered.

Minibean, old friends, pole practise (finally made it to pole practise ONCE), L4D2 Expert mode (okay, we are NOT there yet), good food, albeit a bit disappointed when TWG ran out of scones. BAH.

I even blogged. Twice in a span of 24 hours.

I am making good progress here!

As mentioned in my previous post on the Bras Basah Bugis Night Out project, Singapore does has a vibrant night life – you just need to know where to find it. Together with Radio 100.3 and Radio 91.3, omy.sg organised a series of fun-filled activities to promote the night life in the Bras Basah Bugis Precinct.

You can find out where all the night owls hang out in the precinct as well as exciting upcoming activities on the official website.

During the first event, we got to experience a trishaw ride and some board game fun at Settler’s Cafe. In the second installment, Radio 91.3 DJs Cheryl Miles and Boy Thunder accompanied a group of radio listeners and omy.sg bloggers to go for a marathan supper session.

I had to attend another event earlier in the evening, and wound up late (with regrets). My colleague, Corrinne was quick to fill me in on all the sumptuous food they savoured during the supper trail, prior to my arrival – just listening to her description makes me want to kick myself in the foot for missing this!

Here’s the route the supper kakis went through to sample the signature dishes/drinks at all the venues listed below:

2. Mint Museum Of Toys, Mr Punch Restaurant and Wine Bar at Seah Street
3. CHIJMES - split into two groups:
Group A – Bobby’s Taproom Grill & Ribs, Hog’s Breath Cafe and Harry’s Gastro Bar
Group B – He Yuan Fang Shanghai’s Kitchen, Sun Japanese Dining and La Viva
